Uh oh.

In the market….

August 30, 2008

…for a camera. I have been reading about different digital cameras and have narrowed it down to 1. The Nikon D40x. It’s perfect for what we want to do (take a lot of family pictures!). I’m so sick of clicking the camera button and having to wait 3 seconds for the picture to take! With this camera I will be able to take 3 frames per second. Nice. Plus I will now be able to experiment with photography a little, something I have always wanted to do but have been content to watch my sister and friends do. I will update when we get the camera and use for a bit.

Game Day!

August 28, 2008

Today our college football team, The U opens the 2008 season off playing little known weakling Charleston Southern. I look forward to seeing the baby ‘Canes and freshman QB Jacory Harris in their debut. In preparation for the big game Roman and I through our little Hurricane football around the house. I must say he has quite an arm and good recieving hands. Who is your college team?

Firsts: Costco visit.

August 27, 2008

I worked at Costco for 10 years before I started working in vocational ministry, so needless to say I have a love for this store. Today we took our boys to the warehouse wonder for the first time. You should have seen there eyes when we walked down the TV aisle.

Firsts: Portrait of Daddy

August 25, 2008

Roman drew a picture of me on his Diego Doodle Pad. I guess my eyes, head and ears are my most noticable features.

8/24/08

August 25, 2008

Today we had our first services in our new facility. Crazy. There were over 1,000 peeps that came to church today. Exciting times at Calvary Jupiter I must say. The energy was great, but people were in awe, kind of like the first day of school.

Firsts: University of Miami jersey

August 23, 2008

Yesterday I took a few hours in the afternoon with the family and we ran to the local sports parafanalia store and bought Roman his first UM jersey. It’s big enough for him to wear for at least 3 years, I think. Maybe by then we will have another championship.

48 hours

August 22, 2008

I can’t believe that we will have our first church services in less than 48 hours. Amazing. On August 24, 2008 we will officially “open for business”, exactly 11 years to the day that we held our first service at Jupiter High School. It’s so cool to see all of the blood, sweat and tears payoff not only in life change but in providing a place to love and serve God and people more.

Sad, very sad

WordPress vs. Blogger

August 21, 2008

Yep, I have made the switch to WordPress after 3 years of Blogger. It’s always nice to do something new. A few quick WordPress vs. Blogger observations:

1. WordPress is kind of like a MacBook Pro vs. a Dell Inspiron. Do I need to expound?
2. Blogger has some nice features: HTML, CSS editing, Google connection, decent options
3. WordPress makes it easy to place a custom made banner.
4. WordPress = Target, Blogger = WalMart
